Yin yoga - style of yoga aimed at mental and physical relaxation. A typical class only consists of 7-10 yoga poses that are held for 4-6 minutes in order to get to the deepest layers of the body called fascia. Fascia is believed to store our emotional and mental tension. Practice of yin yoga is great if you are learning to slow down, relax, stay present and heal your mind and body.
- Hatha yoga - the original style of modern yoga aimed at physical practice of mindfulness. Hatha yoga helps both to improve mobility and flexibility as well as cultivate more mindfulness and mental relaxation. During the class we learn to combine breath with movement, hence I like to call it a moving meditation.
